QUICS was an EU funded FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) which ran for 4 years, starting in 2014.

The Ph.D. journey started

Since January 2015 I began my Ph.D. research and made part of the QUICS project. The overall aim of QUICS was to provide high-level training and to research the further implementation of the Water Framework Directive (WFD), improving water quality management by assessing the uncertainty of integrated catchment model water quality predictions.

The project employed twelve Early Stage Researchers (PhD Fellows) and four Experienced Researchers.

The QUICS ITN comprised 9 partners who are universities, research institutes and commercial enterprises where researchers were based. I was hosted on four institutions.

My host institutions

As a member of QUICS, I was hosted at four main institutions:

What an amazing time to be part of the QUICS project. I enjoyed the collaborative work among QUICS’ fellows, partners and associate partners. This project allowed me to develop my Ph.D. research, which constituted a milestone in my career. Maybe this was the best part of being a QUICS’ fellow.
